Aviation safety is a top priority in airport operations. One threat to aviation safety is the presence of wild animals around the airport that can disrupt flight operations. The presence of wild animals in airport operational areas poses a safety risk to aviation. Changes in forest land cover and environmental degradation that destroy their habitats on Batam Island have driven wild animals such as the brontok eagle, bondol eagle, long-tailed monkey, and black wild dog to enter airport areas. This increases the risk of collisions between wild animals and aircraft. The objective of this study is to analyze the factors influencing the presence of wild animals, assess the risk of attacks, and evaluate efforts to manage wildlife hazards at Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam. This study employs a descriptive quantitative method to systematically describe the potential wildlife hazards based on actual data. The analysis results show that there are four wild animals that pose a potential wildlife hazard risk at Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam. In conclusion, animals categorized as posing a potential wildlife hazard risk require mitigation and recommendations to reduce the presence of wild animals and improve flight safety.Keywords:Wild Animals, Risk Assessment, Safety, Wildlife Hazard
