Circular Economy In Courier Express Parcel in Indonesia

Circular economy means minimalize the number of inputs, maximizes output or the waste, that are produced from the process, with the aim of reprocess and reuse. While the sustainability is to ensure the following generation can use the resources that we have today. The implementation of circular economy in Indonesia is still focused in the five main sectors which are the biggest wasted producer. Transportation and logistics sectors are not yet the focus, while those sectors are the connectors of all activity of the other 5 sectors, and they contribute 27% of emission. The implementation of circular economy in the transportation and logistics sectors is still very minimum. If we keep using the economy linear approach, the number of wastes that will be produced by 2030 from every sector, that is projected, will increase. This paper will present the antecedent in the implementation of circular economy, by reviewing the literature review and interview to the logistic companies, non-governmental organization, and scholars in circular economy field.
