Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport is an airportserving domestic and international flights for theMamminasata area and its surroundings. This airport islocated on the border of Makassar and Maros, a suburbin South Sulawesi which has 2 runways, the first ofwhich is 3100 m x 45 m and the second is 2500 m x 45m. This airport is operated by PT Angkasa Pura 1. The Apron Movement Control Unit (AMC) is a unit wherepersonnel have licenses and ratings to carry outmanagement and supervision of order, safety of trafficmovement on the apron and parking or placement ofaircraft. The duties and responsibilities of the ApronMovement Control Unit are to carry out flight operationsservice activities, oversee the movement of aircraft,vehicle traffic, people and goods, and are alsoresponsible for ensuring cleanliness on the air sideincluding the occurrence of fuel or lubricant spills in theair side area.
