<note>The high rate of accidents is mainly caused by human behavior factors, behavioral and social science theories have the potential to increase efforts to reduce the risk of injury due to traffic accidents. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) has created a framework that can lead to a successful understanding of predicting behavioral intentions. According to TPB, people's attitudes toward behavior, their subjective norms and perceived behavioral control determine their behavior indirectly through intentions. The more positive a person's attitudes and subjective norms and the greater the perceived control, the stronger their intention to perform the behavior. Finally, given sufficient actual control over behavior, people are expected to carry out their intentions as soon as the opportunity is presented.
