Abstract In an effort to produce professional Human Resources (HR) to handle service needs and the development of land transportation systems both at national and global levels, STTD has put in place a strategic plan for education development 2015- 2023 within the framework of intact land transportation engineering (transportation engineering). At present some of the D. IV graduates of Land Transportation have continued their studies in master, but masters who follow the path of academic education, and not vocational education. For the continuation of the D IV Land Transportation study which is vocational education, where the composition of practice is more dominant than the theory, it is seen that the most appropriate further study for the Diploma IV in Land Transportation is the Applied Master. In line with that, the Applied Transport Master Program is in the Master Plan for STTD Development and at the same time is in line with the STTD Field School Polytechnic Academic Manuscript which is currently in process. With the Polytechnic institutional form, namely vocational education, the appropriate form is applied master.
