Soft Systems Methodology Pada Pengembangan Bandar Udara Provinsi Sulawesi Barat

The purpose of this research is to analyze leadership style, and the employee engagement to the work effectiveness of ship crew of PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PELNI). The research survey was conducted on 80 ship crew by groups of observation units sampling technique of the entire population of 380 ship crew on ships anchored at the Port of Tanjung Priok. The respondents are the ship crew of the analysis unit under the leadership of ship officers under the Captain. This study uses quantitative approach with multi regression method. The results shows that leadership style, and employees engagement has a positive and direct to work effectiveness. The study is
expected to benefit PELNI in a way that through the leadership style of its officers, the employee’s engagement, will improve the working performance of each ship crew. The outcome of this study is that any change on the ship officer’s leadership style quality and employee’s engagement will increase directly to the work effectiveness of PELNI’s ship crew.
