ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN FASILITAS ROAD SAFETY PEJALAN KAKI DAN PESEPEDA DI SMPN10 JAKARTA PUSAT
This research stems from the statement that government policies on road safety that absorb the findings of road safety studies can improve the safety of relatively vulnerable transportation, such as children walking and cycling to school. Therefore, this study conducts pedestrian behavior of schoolchildren when attending and reviews the road design factors from student homes to schools, such as consistency, continuity, attractiveness, safety, comfort, spatial integration, experience, and socio economic values. Therefore, it can provide input to the government when formulating a policy on the need for road facilities. Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 51/2018 for PPDB assistance through a zoning system, that is, 90% of new students live close to schools so that the mode of transportation used to go to school can be walking or cycling. The policy of protecting school children for pedestrians to avoid traffic accidents is regulated in the Regulation of the Director General of Land Transportation Number SK.1304 / AJ.403 / DJPD / 2014 regarding school safe zones (ZoSS). The study of library factors of road design factors informed that the perception of road users of cycling safety in their environment was a factor in cyclists' decision making. This study investigated the perceptions of 100 participants, students and parents of students, on pedestrian behavior among schoolchildren and road design factors. The study results contain recommendations to improve and improve road infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists for school children.
